What is the Statute of Limitations on my Case?

Personal Injury Attorneys educating clients in West Long Branch, Red Bank, Colts Neck, Asbury Park, and across Monmouth County.

Honored as the receipt of the 2017 Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the New Jersey State Bar Association, and one of our partners since 2016, James J Uliano, in the following video, provides important information about the Statute of Limitations Process. At Chamlin, Uliano & Walsh we are proud of having him on board as part of our experienced team.

Statute of Limitations Process in Monmouth County

In New Jersey, the statute of limitations on Personal Injury cases is two years. You must have filed a lawsuit within two years to be able to proceed in the claim. However, you are going to need to consult with an attorney early in the process because just because the statute of limitations is coming up soon, a lawyer may not be able to take that case with lacking information on filings.

Therefore, it is very important that you contact us at your earliest convenience for consultation because we cannot take cases that are on the eve of the statute of limitations. We need to be able to work on them prior to filing a lawsuit to make sure that everything is done right for the client.
