As a first time buyer, what do I need to know?

Our attorney Andrew T. Walsh joined the Law Firm of Chamlin Uliano & Walsh in 2002. As a Partner, Mr. Walsh has extensive experience in several areas of law, including Real Estate, Personal Injury, Criminal Law, Workers’ Compensation, and Municipal Court.

In the following video, Mr. Walsh explains the steps first time buyers should follow to be prepared for the attorney review process.

What is My Role as a First Time Buyer?

As a first time buyer, you are going to need to do your homework before you make an offer on a home. If you are going to need financing, it is important to contact a bank or a lender in order to see what kind of loan you are going to qualify for, that is, obviously going to set your price range is to a home that you are going to look for, but once you get that general idea if you are financing, you put an offer in on a home; hopefully, it is accepted, and then once that contract is fully signed that is when either you or a realtor will forward that fully signed contract to an attorney in order to start the attorney review process.
