Ambulance Accident at Wall Township NJ Auto Body Shop Causes Serious Injuries to WorkerA worker at an auto body shop in Wall Township, NJ sustained serious injuries after an ambulance was accidentally driven off a lift.

The scary incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. at PL Custom Body, an auto body shop which is located on Atlantic Avenue in Wall Township, New Jersey. According to authorities, a worker was attempting to drive a 2015 F-450 ambulance onto a lift at the body shop when his foot slipped off the brake and accidentally pressed down on the vehicle’s accelerator. The ambulance ended up going off the lift, slamming into an interior wall, and pinning a different person against a workbench.

The victim, who worked at the car repair shop, reportedly sustained significant physical injuries as a result of the car accident. Afterward, he was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune NJ so that he could receive medical treatment for his injuries. Officials did not provide an update on the victim’s health status after he was treated at the hospital.

When the auto accident occurred, a worker at the shop dialed 911 and contacted the Wall Township Police Department, which immediately dispatched police officers to the car repair store. Additionally, other agencies dispatching emergency responders to the scene included South Wall Fire and Rescue, Wall Community First Aid, the Wall Township Building Department, and MONOC/Ocean County College paramedics.

Wall NJ police conducted an investigation and spoke with witnesses of the car accident. Workers at the auto body shop told police that they worked quickly to remove the injured employee from the ambulance before police officers arrived at the scene. Thanks to their efforts, it is possible that the victim avoided even more severe injuries.

After the ambulance accident, the South Wall Fire Department conducted a detailed investigation and also evaluated the auto body shop building’s structure in order to make sure that workers remained safe in the establishment going forward. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, it is possible that the injured employee may be in a position to file a personal injury lawsuit or a workers’ compensation claim in order to get compensation for his injuries.
