Middletown NJ Man Charged with Possession of Heroin, Cocaine, Xanax after Drug Raid at Home

Police recently arrested a Middletown NJ man who allegedly had numerous illegal drugs in his residence.

Middletown NJ Man Charged with Possession of Heroin, Cocaine, Xanax after Drug Raid at HomeDetectives with the Middletown Police Department conducted a drug raid on the suspect’s house, which is located on Harbor Way in Middletown, New Jersey. The raid was the culmination of an investigation into alleged drug activity at the residence. The investigation included officers from both the Middletown Police Department and the Keansburg Police Department.

Middletown NJ police had received a report of heroin being sold out of the home. So they obtained a search warrant and conducted a raid at the house.

A subsequent search of the suspect’s home allegedly led to the discovery of undisclosed amounts of heroin, cocaine, and Xanax. As a result, the 41-year-old suspect has been charged with numerous drug crimes, including possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, and possession of Xanax.

At this time, it is unclear exactly what degree of charges the suspect faces because Middletown detectives have not revealed the precise quantities of drugs that were allegedly found at his home. Depending on the quantity of heroin involved, the suspect could face significant criminal penalties in the case. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:35-10, possession of even a trace amount of heroin can be classified as a third-degree felony and carries a penalty of 3-5 years in New Jersey State Prison.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold Township, NJ. He was being held at the correctional facility on a $45K bail amount.
