Chamlin Rosen Uliano & Walsh Awards Ninth Annual Scholarship – Kyle P. Dunn

The law firm of Chamlin, Uliano and Walsh recently awarded its ninth annual college scholarship in the amount of $500 to Kyle P. Dunn of West Long Branch. Kyle was awarded this scholarship based upon recognition of his essay from among the countless essay contest submissions. Students were challenged to answer, “If I had the power to change or modify an existing law or draft a new law, I would ask the governor to sign the following.” Kyle proposed that “Kyleigh’s Law,” which requires a decal to be placed on the license plates of provisional drivers’ vehicles, should be modified in some way to protect those young drivers from predatory criminals because as written, he believes the decals make them “easy targets.”

A senior at Shore Regional High School where he was on the Honor Roll or High Honor Roll for four years, Kyle has a record of significant involvement in his class’s extracurricular activities. He has been Senior Class Council secretary and Battle of the Classes coordinator as well as editor-in-chief of his class yearbook for two years. His record of community service includes Jason’s Dream for Kids, Hugo Pinto Memorial Scholarship, a breast cancer walk and Long Branch beach clean-up. He is scheduled to attend Fordham University, New York, in the fall and plans to study a pre-law curriculum.

With almost 40 years of experience, the law firm of Chamlin, Uliano & Walsh provides expert legal advice in the areas of negligence and personal injury, divorce, criminal law, commercial and residential real estate, workers’ compensation, employment law and estate planning, in addition to many other aspects of both personal and business-related legal needs. Located at 268 Norwood Avenue in West Long Branch, all of the firm’s partners, attorneys and staff are excited to recognize Kyle for his essay’s thoughtful legislative proposal and for his excellent performance in academics and student body activity. He is wished the best of luck in his future studies.
